Hello there! This is my knowledge base for Field Place, a website concept of my own imagination that takes heavy inspiration from booru tagging systems (like the ones you'd find on e621, Danbooru, or Gelbooru), but expands, iterates and twists it into a Tag-Based Discovery Engine™ that's safe-for-work and allows you to discover and explore cool, weird, awesome, off-the-radar Internet gems, from a Twitter artist's lovely OC universe, to a website cataloguing cool tech from the 50s, to a jazz drum n' bass track that came from 2012 and only has 11 thousand views and samples the Pearl & Dean theme? Woah

Arc 1 is about the Problems of the Internet. Here you'll find writings about how algorithmic feeds affect us, remove user agency, and make social media feel less magical and more toxic and angry.
Arc 2 dives into Field Place itself. Here you'll see the Field Place concept mapped out, and you'll see mock-ups, visual and textual explanations of Field Place's user experience, as well as crash courses on tags, boorus, and content!
Arc 3 dives into what you'll find on Field Place as well as what culture you'll find. You will see what types of content you'll find on FP, like art, music or websites, and you'll see what types of content belong on FP and what doesn't. There'll also be stuff like content submission guidelines and how FP should manage culture!
Arc 4 goes into the benefits and problems with Field Place. You'll see how Field Place can benefit you, me, and creators & curators, as well as some problems with Field Place that needs fixing, as well as a phenomenon I dub the AESOCC.
Arc 5 pertains to what Field Place is in a meta way. So stuff like how FP came to be, the branding of FP ... behind-the-scenes stuff like that yeah
Arc 6 goes into Field Place spin-offs and other potential projects that share the same Field Place DNA and ethos. Stuff like FP Wikinator! FP Characterator! FoodBooru?
Arc 7 goes into miscellaneous details and information about FP that don't really fit anywhere. If you're confused about the terminologies used in the knowledge base, there's also a glossary here too.
Arc 8 is about Field Place's stances on certain hotbutton or controversial topics such as politics and generative AI.
